Decisions that the TPL should have made.

·         Keep the TPL at 18 teams.
·         Tero lost their court case – relegate them.
·         Port  - relegate them
·         TOT – relegate them
·         Sukhothai floodlights failed – award 3 points to Nakhon Pathom.
·         Police, Pattaya and Nahkon Pathom promoted.

Job done – credibility maintained. It’s not rocket science is it? If any team disagrees with these decisions, it should be suggested that they bugger off and play elsewhere.

  1. Typically in English football, abandoned games are replayed. This game should have been replayed in Sukhothai months ago. The fact both teams ended up fighting over where to play shows what gaping holes there are in the TPL rules and regs. Same goes for leaving BEC the opportunity of ambiguity with the farang rules. Once clubs have that chance to get into a courtroom, "bugger off and play elsewhere" isn't much of a defence.

The league will learn from this and do a bit of editing to their rulebook. But that all being said, I might have stood firm with BEC and just prayed the courts backed our decision. I reckon the thought of having to sit out half a Division One season and the resultant mess if they lose their case would've scared BEC into line.

    Maybe.
